    "description": "<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2>\n<p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p>\n<p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a <strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week </strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>JerseySTEM provides free after school STEM classes to underserved middle school girls grade 5-8.</p>\n<p>The Community Engagement Team Lead provides leadership, direction and planning to identify, reach out to and engage with Middle Schools of interest  that could benefit from our afterschool STEM programs. Will build and lead a team of Area Managers  responsible for designated regions.The role is responsible for maintaining our current collaboration tool, <strong>Slack.Background check:</strong><em>As part of the onboarding process for JerseySTEM, volunteers complete a background check through Sterling Volunteers. This costs $11.50 paid directly to the Sterling Volunteers website. </em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>You will manage Slack</li>\n <li>All helpdesk tickets related to slack will be routed to you</li>\n <li>Design lifecycle around slack administration</li>\n <li>Documenting slack resources</li>\n <li>Maintaining channels and following security best practices</li>\n <li>Work with other departments to foster adoption of slack</li>\n <li>Strong grasp of security principles</li>\n <li>Create multi/single guest channel users when requested</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Be willing and eager to proactively seek and accept help from inside and outside the organization. Can work independently.</li>\n <li>Focused on the end goal (serving the underprivileged middle school girls), not the process.</li>\n <li>Experience with documenting and training others on the task at hand (interns, new volunteers).</li>\n <li>Customer Service oriented.</li>\n <li>Know slack<p><strong>Time Commitment </strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>3-7 Hours weekly</li>\n   <li>6 months minimum</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>",
