Mackenthun's Deli Specialists are responsible for performing Deli services according to department standards and processes. Deli specialists produce a wide variety of foods, to-go meals, entrees, and more.</p><p><br></p><p>Hours per week: 35-40</p><p><br></p><p>Availability Needed for Daytime Position: Daytime l Weekends l Flexible</p><p>Availability Needed for Evening Position: Evenings l Weekends l Flexible</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Provide excellent customer service which may include taking and filling deli orders and assisting customers at the deli counter.</p><p>Prepare hot and cold deli products.</p><p>Set-up the salad bar for the day, refilling as needed, and keeping the salad bar clean throughout the day.</p><p>Set-up the salad case for the day. Assist customers at the deli counter.</p><p>Prepare food for the hotbar.</p><p>Slice meats and cheeses for the meat case, ensuring the case is full. Assist customers at the meat/cheese counter.</p><p>Production may include, but is not limited to: making pizzas, salads, grab and go salads, meals, sandwiches, prepping ingredients for the cooks, etc.</p><p>Kitchen cooking may include, but is not limited to: frying chicken, preparing hot case entrees, etc.</p><p>Employees will be cross trained to work in each station. Specific duties for each station are dependent on the shift you work.</p><p>Maintain proper sanitation in the department.</p><p>Follow food safety guidelines according to the Minnesota Food Code.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Other Duties</strong></p><p>Cleaning including, but not limited to: washing dishes, taking out garbage, recycling, and compost.
