    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Peer Recovery Support Specialist- RPG</strong></p><p><strong>McDowell County</strong></p><p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p>Peer Support Specialists-Recovery advocates for individuals in recovery, share helpful resources, facilitate skill-building activities, and provide crisis support when needed. They lead peer recovery groups, foster relationship-building, mentor individuals in setting goals, and offer guidance on managing life roles such as employee, parent, or student. Supportive services may also include transportation, medication reminders, or assistance with daily tasks. Other related duties may be assigned as needed. A Peer Recovery Support Specialist working under a Regional Partnership Grant (RPG) in a mental health setting plays a unique and powerful role by using their lived experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery to support and guide others. The role blends peer mentorship, advocacy, and public engagement.</p><p>Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Lived experience of recovery from substance use disorders</li><li>At least one (1) year of experience working with consumers with substance use challenges <em>(preferred)</em></li><li>At least two (2) years of sobriety</li><li>State or nationally recognized peer certification or training as required by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services (DoHS) <em>(preferred)</em></li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and satisfactory driving record</li></ul><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
