    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">The Hostler/Jockey shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Identifying and moving trailers from parking spaces in the trailer yard to doors for loading, then moving trailers back to parking spaces in preparation for transport.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOP&rsquo;s</li><li>Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes</li><li>Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Required Technical Skills:</em></strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Ability to maneuver trailers into and out of tight spaces</li><li>Ability to multi-task &ndash; checking fuel levels of vehicles, monitoring trailer temperatures, listening to radio for needed trailer moves</li><li>Keeping track of needed trailer moves when multiple moves are called out at the same time</li><li>Basic math knowledge</li><li>Basic knowledge of hand tools</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Required Soft Skills:</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><ul><li>Attention to detail &ndash; remembering where certain loads are parked on the lot</li><li>Responsibility &ndash; continuously monitoring refer units for proper operational temperatures</li><li>Ability to work as a team member with other jockey on duty</li><li>Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions</li><li>Coachable and willing to learn</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work without direct supervision.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Physical Requirements:</em></strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, crawl, climb, squat, and work at times both above the head and at ground level during shift. Must keep work area safe and clean and work in a safe and efficient manner.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Education, Certifications and Experience:&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The following is preferred<u>:</u></p><ul><li>At least one year Hostler/Jockey experience</li><li>Class A CDL required</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><em>Other:</em></strong></p><p><strong><em>&nbsp;</em></strong></p><p>The Hostler/Jockey position is an hourly position and reports to the Trailer Yard Manager. THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION. Schedule is determined based on needs identified in that department. Start times will vary.
