This role is responsible for leading all in-unit HR functions for a diverse, unionized workforce of approximately 85 employees. You will oversee employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and compliance while serving as a key liaison between frontline employees and management. A strong background in union environments is required, including experience with collective bargaining agreements and labor relations. The position plays a critical role in fostering a high-performance, employee-focused culture in a fast-paced environment. You will partner closely with site leadership to ensure adherence to company policies, CBAs, and California labor laws. <strong>Spanish proficiency is required</strong> to effectively support and engage a diverse workforce.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation for new hires</li>\n <li>Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal, state (California), and local regulations</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate HR records, including I-9s and personnel files, ensuring audit readiness</li>\n <li>Serve as the primary HR liaison between hourly employees and management, fostering strong communication</li>\n <li>Support labor relations, including grievance handling and union interactions, while driving HR initiatives</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field</li>\n <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)</li>\n <li>Proven experience working in a union environment, including CBA administration and grievance handling (required)</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of California labor laws, HR policies, and compliance requirements</li>\n <li>Experience in HR within a large, fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>\n<p>Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.
