    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Summary/Objective&nbsp;</p><p>As a valued member of our team, the Plant Tech 1 Operator will be reporting to the shift supervisor to ensure the daily, efficient operation of the plant. You will perform a variety of tasks as per this job description and as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p>Supervisory Responsibilities: None</p><p><br></p><p>Essential Functions:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Complete area inspections and report by completing the daily plant expecting form and turn into the Foreman and/or Site Manager.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Promote, execute and adhere to the company&rsquo;s Safety Program and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span> Monitor and maintain conveyor system.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Shovel and remove debris from conveyor system.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Grease and lube pulleys, rollers, head frames, etc.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Splice and patch belting as needed.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Operate support equipment such as a skid steer, forklift, man lift and / or dump truck to aid in completion of tasks.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Inspect equipment prior to shift for safety, environmental and maintenance defects by completing the daily plant expecting form and turn into the Foreman and site Manager.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Monitor ground conditions in the area you are maintaining.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Complete daily pre/ post / shift inspections - report as needed to Foreman and Site Manager.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintain adequate cleanliness of equipment- report any defects to Foreman and Site Manager.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Monitor environmental compliance (dust) of area.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform housekeeping (clean, shovel, remove trash and debris) to ensure a safe, clean and complaint operation. Ensure site remains compliant with all MSHA, CALOSHA and EPA standards.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Collaborate with any project teams on other special initiatives, as required.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span> Assist the Plant Lead with the daily operations and upkeep of the plant.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Promote a team approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to exchange information and gather ideas.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Detect safety hazards and malfunctions and respond accordingly.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Demonstrate the ability to follow directions.</p><p><br></p><p>Non-Essential Duties:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assist in replacing motors, idlers, pulleys, v-belts, couplings, bearings, gear boxes, etc.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Inspect wear items on equipment &amp; report as needed to Foreman and Site Manager.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform other duties as outlined by Foreman and/or Site Manager.</p><p><br></p><p>Core Competencies:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Effective communication skills &amp; strong mechanical aptitude.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Familiar with MSHA and CALOSHA regulations.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must have a strong team-oriented work ethic with strong focus on safety and environmental compliance.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Able to work well with others.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to follow oral, written plans and directions.</p><p><br></p><p>Position Type/Expected Hours of Work</p><p>This is a full-time position.
