The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials. Teaching responsibilities will include – teaching foundational clinical and surgical knowledge, skills, reasoning, and attitudes to students throughout the MCOM curriculum, with an emphasis in osteopathic principles and practices.</p>\n<h2>Essential Job Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide education, mentorship, and guidance to all students at the Montana campus in a variety of settings, including the classroom, clinic, laboratory, and simulation center.</li>\n <li>Maintain discipline and teaching expertise through continuing professional education.</li>\n <li>Participate in curriculum development, delivery, assessment, and enhancement.</li>\n <li>Provide service to the University and the greater community by serving on committees, providing leadership, participating in community outreach events and working with professional organizations or groups.</li>\n <li>Maintain regular office hours for participation in student advising, tutoring, and consultation.</li>\n <li>Engage in scholarly activity, including research, authorship, presentations at conferences, and mentorship of students in their scholarly activities.</li>\n <li>Participate in student assessment, feedback, and remediation to ensure that students meet MCOM’s high academic standards in the areas of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.</li>\n <li>Participate in the faculty development program, which includes providing instructional feedback to fellow faculty members and participating in faculty development training.</li>\n <li>Help build a culture that respects, values, and promotes diversity within an atmosphere of access, equity, and inclusion.</li>\n <li>Provide professional and clinical services in ascertained clinical settings consistent with training and degrees (as appropriate).</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Commitment to a high standard of integrity and professionalism.</li>\n <li>Commitment to RVU’s mission, vision, and values, which are service, integrity, diversity, excellence, compassion, innovation, and collegiality.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and skill in curriculum design and implementation.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and skill in the delivery of medical education.</li>\n <li>Competence in the use of electronic health records, learning management systems, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and other technology and programs necessary for the delivery of medical education at MCOM.</li>\n <li>Clinical proficiency in area of specialization.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated commitment to valuing inclusive excellence and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution with current or past board certification in any specialty; or Medical Doctor (MD) degree from an accredited institution if graduated from a Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM) residency or fellowship program, or a primary care residency program with Osteopathic Recognition (OR) current or past board certification in any specialty.</li>\n <li>Able to obtain medical licensure in Montana.</li>\n <li>Good standing with all relevant regulatory and governmental boards and agencies.</li>\n <li>Good standing with all relevant professional organizations.</li>\n <li>Eligible for coverage by the University’s malpractice insurer.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Board Certification in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.</li>\n <li>Recent clinical use of osteopathic manipulation</li>\n <li>Teaching experience at a college of osteopathic medicine or graduate medical education program.</li>\n <li>Greater than two (2) years of academic or clinical teaching experience.</li>\n <li>Leadership or administrative experience in a clinical or educational setting.</li>\n <li>Prior scholarly activity (i.e., research, authorship, professional presentations).</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Final applicant will be required to pass background check and drug screening.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Qualified applicants will be contacted.
