This is a hands-on role with paid training, along Medical, Dental, Vision insurance on Day 1. At Worthington <strong>We’re not just hiring for a job — we’re looking for people who want to build a career and advance within our company.</strong> Prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required — we provide training and clear paths for growth.</p><p>This is a physical, active job in a manufacturing environment. You will be on your feet for most of your shift, working around industrial equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.</p><p>What You’ll Get</p><ul><li>Starting pay: $20/hour</li><li>Shift differential: +$1.50 (2nd shift) / +$0.75 (3rd shift)</li><li>Weekly overtime (time and a half, double time after 48 hours)</li><li>Quarterly profit sharing</li><li>Benefits starting Day 1 (medical, dental, vision, life, 401k – company pays approximately 87% of medical costs)</li><li>Tuition reimbursement and advancement opportunities</li><li>$180 annual boot allowance</li><li>Paid vacation and 11 paid holidays</li></ul><p>Schedule</p><ul><li>Training will take place on 1st shift (7 am - 3 pm) and lasts approximately 4-6 weeks. After training, you will transition to:</li><li>2nd Shift: 3 PM to 11 PM</li><li>3rd Shift: 11 PM to 7 AM</li><li>Shift premium applies once you move off of 1st shift.</li></ul><p>What You’ll Do</p><ul><li>Operate and assist with steel processing equipment</li><li>Load and unload materials and position steel coils</li><li>Package, weigh, and stage finished products</li><li>Monitor product quality and identify defects</li><li>Support machine operators with setup and daily production tasks</li></ul><p>What You Need</p><p>Must-have:</p><ul><li>Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift consistently</li><li>Comfortable performing physical, repetitive work and lifting up to 50 lbs</li><li>Reliable attendance and ability to show up on time for scheduled shifts</li><li>Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure</li></ul><p>Nice-to-have:</p><ul><li>Manufacturing, construction, or mechanical experience</li><li>Experience operating tools or machinery</li></ul><p>Why Worthington Steel</p><p>Worthington Steel is a people-first organization built on the Golden Rule.
