Looking for a steady 2nd or 3rd shift job with strong pay, consistent hours, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in manufacturing?
Worthington Steel is hiring Steel Production Associates at our Monroe, OH facility. This is a hands-on role with paid training, along Medical, Dental, Vision insurance on Day 1. At Worthington We’re not just hiring for a job — we’re looking for people who want to build a career and advance within our company. Prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required — we provide training and clear paths for growth.
This is a physical, active job in a manufacturing environment. You will be on your feet for most of your shift, working around industrial equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
What You’ll Get
Starting pay: $20/hour Shift differential: +$1.50 (2nd shift) / +$0.75 (3rd shift) Weekly overtime (time and a half, double time after 48 hours) Quarterly profit sharing Benefits starting Day 1 (medical, dental, vision, life, 401k – company pays approximately 87% of medical costs) Tuition reimbursement and advancement opportunities $180 annual boot allowance Paid vacation and 11 paid holidays Schedule
Training will take place on 1st shift (7 am - 3 pm) and lasts approximately 4-6 weeks. After training, you will transition to: 2nd Shift: 3 PM to 11 PM 3rd Shift: 11 PM to 7 AM Shift premium applies once you move off of 1st shift. What You’ll Do
Operate and assist with steel processing equipment Load and unload materials and position steel coils Package, weigh, and stage finished products Monitor product quality and identify defects Support machine operators with setup and daily production tasks What You Need
Must-have:
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift consistently Comfortable performing physical, repetitive work and lifting up to 50 lbs Reliable attendance and ability to show up on time for scheduled shifts Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure Nice-to-have:
