We oversee every construction phase to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and manage a team of survey technicians in the field to ensure efficient project execution.</li>\n <li>Conduct land surveys using GNSS, Total Stations, and 3D scanners to gather precise measurements.</li>\n <li>Prepare and review schematics, ALTA surveys, and construction layouts for accuracy and compliance with project specifications.</li>\n <li>Utilize software such as, Civil 3D, and Leica Captivate for drafting and data analysis.</li>\n <li>Perform calculations involving trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and other mathematical principles to ensure accurate results.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with project managers and clients to discuss project requirements and deliverables.</li>\n <li>Take personal responsibility for safety on all project sites.</li>\n <li>Perform Construction Inspections and As-built Inspections, from time to time.</li>\n <li>Train junior staff members on surveying techniques and equipment use.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>What you will bring to our firm: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma required.</li>\n <li>5 to 10 years of professional experience as a crew chief.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in land surveying with a comprehensive understanding of civil engineering principles.</li>\n <li>Strong mathematical skills that include: trigonometry, geometry, algebra, and data collection techniques.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Leica surveying equipment including GNSS, Total Stations, levels, and tapes, etc.</li>\n <li>Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and challenges.</li>\n <li>Valid Class ‘C’ Driver’s License</li>\n <li>Highly motivated and self-directing personality.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What we prefer you bring: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Geomatics, Geomatics Technology, Design and Drafting Technology, or similar course of study.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in CAD software including Civil 3D, Leica Captivate and StarNet.</li>\n <li>Experience with Leica Surveying Equipment</li>\n <li>Experience in Railroad Surveying</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Compensation:</strong>The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000.
