Description

Saltworks Technologies is a leading Canadian cleantech company solving two of the world's most pressing industrial challenges: water sustainability and critical minerals supply. We design and build advanced industrial water treatment and lithium refining systems for some of the world's most recognized companies – in semiconductors, mining, automotive, and more. Saltworks is a 2025 Fast 50 Company and EY Entrepreneur of the Year award winner. The role: We have immediate openings for  Apprentice Plumbers or Pipefitters  to join our Production team. This role is ideal for 1st to 3rd year apprentices who are looking to gain hands-on experience and further develop their careers in a rapidly growing industry. Our Senior Mechanical Production Lead will provide supervision and training as needed. Here is what the role entails: Supporting the production team to deliver mechanical systems for modular water treatment and lithium production plants. Performing plumbing and pipefitting work primarily using CPVC and PVC piping. Reading and interpreting construction drawings and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Maintaining strong housekeeping standards and a clean, organized workspace. The work is indoors in a safe, clean production environment alongside a diverse team. Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime and occasional travel to customer sites. You will be a great fit if you have: Registered as a 1st to 3rd year Plumbing or Pipefitting Apprentice. Experience working with CPVC and PVC piping, with strong attention to detail. Much of the work is visible, and training will be provided. Experience with mechanical mounting of components such as pumps, including precise alignment. Experience using hand tools and power tools (all tools will be provided). Excellent housekeeping skills and safe work practices. Strong teamwork skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to produce high-quality work. Good attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Why join Saltworks?
