Description The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy is seeking a limited-term (July 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027), non-tenure track full-time faculty member at the level of Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science on the Memphis campus. Responsibilities SERVICE: Participate in college, departmental, and UT Health Science Center Campus committees as deemed appropriate. The estimated starting percent effort in service is 10%. TEACHING: The Department Chair or designee will assign teaching didactic responsibilities. The estimated starting percent effort in teaching is 10%. SCHOLARSHIP: Develop, grow, and maintain national recognition in fungal pathogenesis through an active program of scholarship that includes peer-reviewed publications. Seek and secure external federal funding. The starting estimated percent effort in scholarship is 80%. Qualifications EDUCATION: Doctoral Degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., or equivalent). EXPERIENCE: The ability to acquire sustained extramural funding, a commitment to excellence in teaching and in oral and written communication skills. A record of accomplishment in scholarly activity in the form of peer-reviewed publications. Candidates with an existing federally funded research program that complements the current strengths of the department are of high priority. Existing strengths include research programs focused on molecular mechanisms of fungal pathogenesis, novel antifungal drug design, and antifungal drug resistance.
