Description of Job Duty: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Tennessee Tech University invites applications for multiple full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty positions at all ranks, beginning August 1, 2026. Applications are sought from candidates in all areas of Electrical and Computer Engineering including but not limited to Telecommunications, Power Systems, Power Electronics, Vehicle Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electromagnetics and Devices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical & Computer Engineering, engaging in scholarly activities, developing externally funded research programs, advising undergraduate students, directing research students at the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. levels, serving on committees, and engaging in professional and public service.

Essential Functions: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical & Computer Engineering, engage in scholarly activities, develop externally funded research programs, advise undergraduate students, direct research students at the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. levels, serve on committees, engage in professional and public service.
Physical Demands: Those typical of an office or classroom environment.
Special Instructions: Applicants are required to electronically upload the following:

* Curriculum vitae.
* Teaching philosophy statement (no more than 2 pages).
* Research plan (including potential funding sources) (no more than 3 pages).
* Unofficial transcripts for all degrees (official transcripts for all degrees will be required upon hire).
* Contact information for three professional references (references will be contacted via email if selected for interview).
* Representative Publications (2 published journal papers).

Salary:
Commensurate with education and experience. Full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position to begin August 1, 2026.
Benefits Information:
Benefits include the accumulation of one (1) sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
* Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited institution (must be completed by the start date of August 1, 2026).
* The ability to communicate effectively and to develop and maintain an effective working relationship with faculty, students, administrators, and public.
Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
* Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
* Strong potential to establish and sustain externally funded, high-quality research programs. * * * Evidence of scholarly activity through peer-reviewed publications, especially in highly rated professional conferences, journals, and transactions.
Relevant post doctorate and/or industry experience in reputable academic institutes, national labs, and industries.
* Experience in mentoring undergraduate and/or graduate students in their thesis and projects.
* Laboratory hardware/software skills are desirable in their respective specialties.
* Verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated by technical writing and oral presentations.
