As a Rotor Dynamics Analyst at Centrus Energy, you’ll work at the cutting edge of gas centrifuge technology—supporting systems that play a critical role in clean energy and national security. From analyzing complex rotating systems to improving real-world manufacturing performance, you’ll combine deep technical expertise with hands-on engineering problem solving in an environment where innovation moves fast and every detail matters.</p>\n <p><b>What You’ll Do</b>&nbsp;</p>\n <p>You’ll partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams to keep high-speed rotating systems operating at peak performance. In this role, you’ll analyze vibration and operational data, perform rotor dynamic modeling and simulations, support rotor balancing activities, and help troubleshoot complex equipment behavior. You’ll also conduct dynamic testing, apply digital signal processing techniques, develop custom diagnostic tools, and contribute to the continuous improvement of test procedures and automation efforts. Along the way, you’ll serve as a technical expert in rotor dynamics and vibration analysis while helping drive innovation across advanced centrifuge technology programs.</p>\n <p><b>What You Bring</b>&nbsp;</p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>5+ years of experience in rotor dynamics, vibration analysis, or related technical disciplines&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Strong knowledge of high-speed rotating machinery dynamics and system behavior&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Experience with vibration diagnostics, modal analysis, and rotating equipment troubleshooting&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Proficiency in modeling and simulation of rotating systems&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Experience applying digital signal processing techniques to engineering data&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Familiarity with software development and engineering analysis tools, with Python strongly preferred&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Experience using Finite Element Analysis software such as ANSYS or similar platforms&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Solid understanding of mechanical vibrations and system dynamics</li>\n  <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance&nbsp;</li>\n </ul>\n <p><b>A Successful Candidate Brings:</b></p>\n <ul>\n  <li>Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>8+ years working with gas centrifuges or other ultra-high-speed rotating systems&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Familiarity with automated testing, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Ability to thrive in both independent and highly collaborative engineering environments&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings clearly to cross-functional teams</li>\n  <li>An active or previously held Q-level security clearance<br>\n    &nbsp;</li>\n </ul>\n <p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.</i></span></p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>This position will require a pre­-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.</i></span></p>\n <p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><span><i>Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements.
