    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div style=\"border-bottom-width:1pt; border-style:none; margin-left:0.5in; margin-right:0in; padding:0in 0in 10pt\">\n <p><span><strong>Position description:</strong> The Healthcare Institute is a week-long, residential, summer&nbsp; &nbsp;program designed for high-school students interested in a career in health sciences.The program mentors are Saint Mary’s students who will act as leaders during the program, facilitating small group discussions, helping organize activities, and building community among participants.</span></p>\n <p><span><strong>Position qualifications:</strong> Successful applicants will be Saint Mary’s students (rising juniors or seniors) who demonstrate leadership abilities, a commitment to engaged learning, and a competence in a healthcare-related major. Mentors should be reliable, able to maintain confidentiality, and open to welcoming and supporting participants from a range of backgrounds, viewpoints, and experiences. Preference given to applicants who are enrolled in a program that is within the Division of Integrated Health and Human Sciences (Nursing Science; Speech &amp; Language Pathology; Autism Studies, Social Work), but anyone meeting the above requirements may apply.&nbsp;</span></p>\n</div>\n<ul>\n <li><span><strong>Position </strong></span><span><strong>Duties:</strong></span></li>\n <li><span>Responsible each week for the supervision and safety of 10 students, ages 14-18 in the residence hall, on field trips, and at all day/evening activities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Assist assigned instructor with&nbsp; classes and (1) 90-minute class per day.</span></li>\n <li><span>Responsible for assisting director/instructors with&nbsp;organized activities, talent shows and evening performances.</span></li>\n <li><span>Responsible for assisting at registration, orientation and departure each week.</span></li>\n <li><span>&nbsp;Serve as a role model for young adults.</span></li>\n <li><span>Required attendance at a wrap-up session at the end of the program</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Required to reside and stay on campus during camp session.</strong></span></li>\n <li><span>Breakfast, morning announcements, lunch, organized activities</span></li>\n <li><span><strong>Minimum Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong>Mature college students and living on campus is a requirement for this position.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>&nbsp; &nbsp;</span></p>",
