Overview Shimmick is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented FP&A Senior Manager to join our corporate finance team, onsite, and base in Irvine, CA. Responsibilities Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Participates with senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry. Works collaboratively across departments to provide valuable financial insights that drive strategic decision-making and business growth. Ensures budgets and schedule align with corporate strategy to ensure overall success of functional, division, and company operations. Development and preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Develop, maintain, and update complex financial models to support business initiatives and evaluate performance. Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, to explain the "why" behind financial trends and results. Continuously seek to improve financial processes, reporting systems, and data integrity to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, data science or a related field. 6+ years of finance and/or accounting experience in the construction industry. Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and financial modeling techniques. Knowledge/understanding of civil construction contracting and accounting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial data to non-financial audiences. Preferred Qualifications: MBA and/or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). M&A experience. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). SQL scripting and data analysis skills. Additional Information: Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. The salary range for this position is between $135,000 - $185,000 per year depending on experience and/or education. This position is eligible to participate in company's annual discretionary bonus program.
