This is a safety-critical role responsible for implementing and maintaining safe systems of work during activities undertaken within live rail environments, including traffic hours, engineering hours, and depot operations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Location: Hillingdon</li>\n<li>Employment Type: Full time, Permanent<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What we offer:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>From £145 a day dependent on experience</li>\n<li>Weekly pay<br></li>\n<li>Life Assurance scheme </li>\n<li>Auto enrolment pension scheme.  </li>\n<li>Supportive working environment as part of a growing successful Group. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement and manage protection arrangements during traffic hours, engineering hours, and depot works</li>\n<li>Act as Site Person in Charge (SPC) where appointed</li>\n<li>Ensure safe systems of work are briefed, understood, and adhered to by all operatives on site</li>\n<li>Undertake vegetation and chainsaw operations in line with NPTC certification</li>\n<li>Conduct site briefings and maintain accurate protection documentation</li>\n<li>Monitor compliance with rail standards, risk assessments, and method statements</li>\n<li>Liaise with control, engineering supervisors, and client representatives as required</li>\n<li>Stop work where unsafe conditions are identified</li>\n<li>Support the safe and efficient delivery of vegetation and fencing operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Experience and Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sentinel (valid sponsorship required)</li>\n<li>PWT – TH (Protection Work – Traffic Hours)</li>\n<li>PWT – EH (Protection Work – Engineering Hours)</li>\n<li>PWT – D (Protection Work – Depots)</li>\n<li>SPC – Site Person in Charge</li>\n<li>Basic Track Awareness</li>\n<li>Hedge Trimmer (including long-arm hedge trimmer)</li>\n<li>Brushcutter / Strimmer</li>\n<li>Chainsaw Pole Pruner</li>\n<li>NPTC – Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting</li>\n<li>NPTC – Felling Small Trees up to 380mm</li>\n<li>Full UK driving licence</li>\n<li>Proven experience working within live rail environments</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of rail safety standards and operational procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
