    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span>Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Patient Access Representative to join our team!&nbsp; Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span><strong><u>Position Summary:</u></strong></span></p><p><span class=\"wgt-textwidget\">This position is responsible for creating a first impression of Methodist Hospital to our patients, visitors and customers by providing a warm welcome and ensuring interactions are professional and courteous. This position must utilize effective interpersonal skills when gathering demographic information for complete and accurate registration including insurance verifications for outpatient services, emergency center arrivals and admissions. This position must use expertise in insurance selection to accurately input the information provided by the patient/guarantor and validate by using payer eligibility resources to ensure the accuracy of claim submission. This position must be cross trained to support the overall registration process in the Emergency Center, General Admitting and Surgery Admitting. This position must adhere to the EMTALA policy during the registration process when gathering insurance information and collecting payments in the Emergency Center. This position must maintain compliance with Joint Commission and all other hospital and government regulations applicable within the admission setting. This position must attend continuing education classes and complete mandatory training in order to maintain department specific requirements and professional growth.
