Description

Overview JOB SUMMARY The purpose of the Director of Store Operations is to oversee process improvement, project management, strategic initiatives, and expense management for store operations including the execution and dissemination of information across the company as it relates to direction and implementation. Additionally, this role is the conduit between the Store Support Center and the Field Operations/Store teams. Responsibilities JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Oversees the assigned operational projects and strategic initiatives either as the lead or operations partner depending on the objective. Oversees labor allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and payroll management for Stores. Manage the Customer Service Call Center to ensure we are providing extraordinary service and hospitality to our customers. Oversee the store facilities team in regards to budgeting, workflow, and prioritization of maintaining and enhancing our store locations. Identify, coordinate, develop and direct processes as it relates to the back end of the business including but not limited to the backroom, sales floor, and administrative areas. Manage process development and implementation for the customer experience in stores with an emphasis on the front-end/checkout processes. Build and lead processes around the in store digital fulfillment processes in partnership with other support functions. Coordinate and develop communication content and distribute to the stores and related business segments as needed in a streamlined manner. Direct and approve what is put on the company intranet, Associate Toolkit, to ensure a manageable workload capacity for the stores. Attend meetings to represent store operations in cross functional elements of the business. Partner with buying groups, replenishment, inventory management, District Managers, and Regional Directors on business plan initiatives, focusing on functional areas of dependencies and ensuring alignment. Lead and contribute to various store operations functions such as meetings, conferences and trainings, special projects, and store events. Partner with Space Planning and Marketing on merchandising content such as the playbook, ads, and in store merchandising sets. Analyze, prepare, and coordinate the preparation of financial reporting. Analyze business trends and communicate findings with functional teams. Lead associates in a way that exemplifies the leadership principles taught in Rural King’s Thrive Leadership Program. Use discretion and independent judgment in daily decisions while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. May be required to cross train and perform other duties. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Yes Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years retail management experience Demonstrate behaviors that exemplify Rural King Values: People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, Continuous Improvement. Ability to travel from store to store as needed. Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent customer service skills Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. Ability to multi-task and coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner. Ability to access and use the in-store computer, scanning system, and wireless handheld unit. Ability to participate in our online applicant and new hire onboarding process remotely. Ability to complete computer-based training. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Good visual acuity Close vision for computer work Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Repetitive wrist movements on keyboard Ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day Ability to verbally communicate effectively and professionally with all audiences (in-person or via handheld transceiver) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. The pay range for this position is $105,000 - $164,000 per annualized and is bonus eligible, with exact compensation determined by factors such as relevant geographic location, education, certifications, experience, job level, shift, and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay in compliance with applicable laws.
