The location of the assignment can vary depending on the job and/or client. We do offer per diem for those that qualify.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>\n<p>The Commissioning Manager will play a pivotal part in directing and ensuring the peak performance, reliability, and safety during the commissioning of our client's power plants. This leadership role demands a blend of on-site commissioning work, strategic foresight, and team collaboration to oversee equipment testing, system integration, and operational handover across our client's varied power generation assets.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and manage a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, coordinating greenfield, brownfield, and operational commissioning activities on mechanical and electrical equipment such as turbines, boilers, pumps, generators and related power plant apparatus. </li>\n <li>Drive the commissioning process, overseeing system testing, troubleshooting, and integration efforts to ensure smooth and efficient plant startup and handover. </li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and safety departments to plan and execute commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards. </li>\n <li>Develop, implement, and enforce commissioning protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and effective working environment, emphasizing compliance with industry standards and regulations. </li>\n <li>Monitor and assess equipment performance during the commissioning phase, recommending and overseeing necessary adjustments, optimizations, and upgrades to achieve operational excellence. </li>\n <li>Maintain detailed records of commissioning activities, system integrations, equipment performance, and compliance metrics for reporting, validation, and continuous improvement purposes. </li>\n <li>Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to commissioning teams, plant operators, and other stakeholders, cultivating a culture of excellence, teamwork, and ongoing learning.</li>\n <li>Ensure the installed progress and work product are in line with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements. Highlight any variances or changes in the work placement.</li>\n <li>Track work progress and highlight key activity development in daily reports. </li>\n <li>Support our partners and project stakeholders at each project are communicating early and often when problems arise and be able to find creative solutions to project challenges.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 12 years of experience in commissioning within the power generation sector, with a demonstrable history of leadership and management. </li>\n <li>Comprehensive technical knowledge and expertise in power plant equipment, systems, and commissioning processes, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and auxiliary systems. </li>\n <li>Proven proficiency in commissioning methodologies, troubleshooting, and system integration, combined with strategic thinking and analytical abilities. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with industry regulations, industry codes & standards, and best practices related to power plant electrical operations, maintenance, and safety. </li>\n <li>Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for leading, motivating, and collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders. </li>\n <li>Availability and flexibility to travel and undertake assignments across various locations in the United States as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
