This role is responsible for creating safe, engaging, and spiritually formative experiences where children can know Jesus, grow in their faith, and build meaningful relationships. The Children’s Minister leads teams of volunteers, equips families, and ensures alignment with the overall mission and values of the church.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Provide vision, direction, and leadership for ministry environments and programming</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Recruit, train, schedule, and develop volunteer leaders and ministry teams</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Oversee the planning and execution of weekend services, midweek programs, and special events</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Ensure all environments are safe, secure, clean, and engaging for children and families</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with church theology and strategy</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Partner with parents by providing resources, communication, and support for spiritual development at home</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Lead, coach, and care for Kids Ministry leaders through regular meetings and development</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Manage ministry budgets, supplies, and resources with stewardship and accountability</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Collaborate with other ministry departments to ensure alignment and church-wide integration</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Track attendance, engagement, and key metrics to evaluate and improve ministry effectiveness</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Alignment with the church’s mission, vision, and values</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Prior experience in Kids Ministry or related leadership role preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Proven ability to lead teams and develop volunteers</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Strong organizational and administrative skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor’s degree in ministry, education, or related field (preferred but not required)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Ability to pass a background check</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Regular involvement in The Avenue Church activities and events</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Signed acknowledgement of The Avenue Church’s “Statement of Faith” and “Staff Lifestyle Agreement” forms</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Signed acknowledgment of policies and procedures as stated in The Avenue Church’s employee handbook</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(38, 38, 38); font-size: 10pt\">Living out the spiritual principles outlined in the “Staff Lifestyle Agreement”;
