    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><h2 data-pasted=\"true\">Role Description</h2><p>This is an overnight position to support operations.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The Safety &amp; Training Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily safety execution and training compliance at the gateway level. This role ensures operational activities are conducted in accordance with company safety standards, carrier requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory mandates. The supervisor partners closely with gateway leadership to maintain a safe work environment, ensure workforce qualification compliance, and deliver high-quality training programs that support operational performance and regulatory adherence.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><h3>Safety &amp; Regulatory Compliance</h3><ul><li>Implement and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and standard work at the gateway level.</li><li>Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and compliance audits of ramp and warehouse operations.</li><li>Identify safety risks and collaborate with station leadership to implement corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses using structured root cause methodologies (e.g., 5-Why).</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable carrier and customer requirements.</li><li>Maintain accurate safety records and submit timely reports to leadership.</li></ul><h3>Training Oversight &amp; Qualification Management</h3><ul><li>Oversee onboarding, recurrent, and remedial training programs for all operational personnel.</li><li>Ensure employees maintain required certifications and qualifications (DG, equipment, security, etc.).</li><li>Maintain and update training matrices and documentation.</li><li>Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions on safety procedures, emergency response, equipment operation, and standard work.</li><li>Evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements to maintain instructional quality.</li><li>Support operational readiness during staffing increases or peak seasons.</li></ul><h3>Quality Assurance &amp; Operational Performance</h3><ul><li>Monitor compliance with safety and training standards across shifts.</li><li>Conduct observational audits to verify adherence to standard work and operational procedures.</li><li>Provide coaching and feedback to supervisors and frontline employees.</li><li>Track and analyze safety and training-related performance metrics.</li><li>Escalate compliance risks and partner with leadership to implement corrective action plans.</li></ul><h3>Documentation &amp; Audit Support</h3><ul><li>Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation for safety and training programs.</li><li>Support internal and external audits, inspections, and customer reviews.</li><li>Ensure proper recordkeeping of safety meetings, certifications, and compliance documentation.</li><li>Stay informed on regulatory updates and industry best practices.</li></ul><h3>Team Engagement &amp; Culture Development</h3><ul><li>Promote a proactive safety culture and employee engagement in safety initiatives.</li><li>Encourage reporting of hazards and near misses without fear of retaliation.</li><li>Support leadership in reinforcing accountability and performance expectations.</li><li>Partner with HR and station leadership to ensure safety and training integration into onboarding and performance management.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>5+ years of experience in aviation cargo, ground handling, or airport operations, with demonstrated expertise in ramp safety, ground service equipment, and warehouse operations</li><li>1+ years of experience supervising safety and/or training programs within a regulated aviation environment</li><li>Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on operational training programs aligned with OSHA, FAA, TSA, and IATA standards</li><li>Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations (e.g., 5-Why, root cause analysis), and implementing corrective action plans</li><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and hold frontline teams accountable to safety and operational performance standards</li><li>Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive a positive safety culture in fast-paced cargo operations</li><li>Experience utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), compliance tracking tools, and performance metrics to monitor training effectiveness</li><li>Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage frontline employees through executive leadership</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
