    "description": "<p>Build your future and come grow with us!  Immel Construction is seeking an Estimator with prior GC experience to join our Employee-Owned company.  In this role, you'll use your expertise to prepare accurate estimates and lead take-offs for self-performed work.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Do</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and analyze cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.</li>\n<li>Participate in pre-bid meetings, owner/architect interviews, and sales discussions to define scope and approach.<br></li>\n<li>Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and pricing of all project components.</li>\n<li>Review plans and specifications, communicating requirements to internal and external stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with project managers to identify value-engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.</li>\n<li>Leverage historical data-unit prices, purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity reports, and past estimates-to inform bid pricing. </li>\n<li>Apply advanced knowledge of construction techniques, principles, and processes to determine labor and material needs.<br></li>\n<li>Prepare budget estimates and estimates for self-performed work.</li>\n<li>Procure subcontractor quotes, ensuring proper coverage prior to bid.</li>\n<li>Consult with subcontractors and vendors to formulate accurate estimates, resolve issues, and qualify partners post-bid.  </li>\n<li>Conduct studies and develop repeat-customer pricing data.</li>\n<li>Build and maintain strong customer relationships for long-term success.<br></li>\n<li>Oversee completion and submission of Prequalification Statements.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We're Looking For</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.</li>\n<li>2+ years of estimating experience in a general contractor environment.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software (OST experience preferred).</li>\n<li>Keen attention to detail and accuracy. </li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.<br></li>\n<li>OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain within 12 months). </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join Us</span></p>\n<p>At Immel, you’re not just an employee—you’re an Employee-Owner. We value<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety, Craftsmanship, Integrity, Transparency, Community, and Reliability</span><span> </span>in everything we do.
