You will be a consistent, trusted presence &mdash; ensuring clients feel safe, supported, and cared for every shift.</p><p>Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Orient new clients to the facility and review program rules and expectations</li><li>Complete all non-clinical admission paperwork and documentation required by the department</li><li>Screen incoming client property to check for inappropriate items being brought into the facility</li><li>Observe medication self-administration and account for all medications on site in accordance with department procedures</li><li>Manage and coordinate medical, behavioral, emergency, or facility issues quickly and efficiently, notifying the appropriate authority as needed</li><li>Investigate suspicious or unusual behavior to ensure the safety of clients and the facility</li><li>Provide clients with clean linens, towels, and personal supplies</li><li>Check and clean laundry and client areas following Universal Precautions guidelines and department procedures</li><li>Answer and direct incoming telephone calls as needed</li><li>Monitor the security of the department regularly</li></ul><p><strong>What You&#39;ll Need:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>1 year of related experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered</li><li>Valid and unrestricted Connecticut Driver&#39;s License; with the ability to drive an agency vehicle</li><li>CPR and First Aid Certification required within six months of employment</li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Commitment to trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practice, and SCADD&#39;s values of diversity, equity, and inclusion</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p><strong>Why SCADD?</strong></p><p>Since 1966, SCADD has remained at the forefront of substance use disorder treatment, continuously evolving to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities across Southeastern Connecticut.
