If you are in alignment with our values of integrity, transparency, professionalism, teamwork, and respect - now might be the time for you to accelerate your career as part of the best company in automotive retail.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p>\n<p>Regional EHS Managers are the frontline leaders responsible for executing Group 1 Automotive’s Environment, Health & Safety programs across their assigned region’s dealerships and collision centers. They serve as trusted safety partners to regional and field leadership, deliver hands-on support, training, and program implementation to drive a positive, proactive safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Program Implementation – Roll out corporate EHS programs and ensure dealership compliance with safety standards</li>\n <li>Field Leadership Support – Act as the go-to EHS resource for Market Directors, General Managers, Service Directors, and Fixed Ops leaders</li>\n <li>Training & Coaching – Deliver safety training and toolbox talks; coach on-site leaders on leading safe behaviors</li>\n <li>Audits & Inspections – Conduct site audits and job hazard assessments; ensure timely closure of action items</li>\n <li>Incident Response – Support incident investigations and root cause analysis; track corrective actions</li>\n <li>Data & Reporting – Submit TRIR, LTIR, and vehicle incident data; support data quality and dashboard inputs</li>\n <li>Contractor Oversight – Ensure vendor safety compliance during facility work, construction, or maintenance</li>\n <li>Culture Building – Promote safety campaigns and recognition; share best practices across regions. Ability to understand and connect with people, build trust, and mediate disputes to foster a collaborative environment</li>\n <li>Team Management – Manage EHS Administrators daily activities and performance</li>\n <li>Other duties, as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in safety or operations will be considered</li>\n <li>5+ years of safety, risk, or operations leadership in a multi-site environment</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of OSHA and vehicle service-related hazards</li>\n <li>Knowledge of EHS management software and tools</li>\n <li>Comfortable working in auto dealerships, service bays, and shop-floor environments</li>\n <li>Ability to clearly explain safety procedures, lead and motivate employees</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge managing Worker’s comp injuries</li>\n <li>Confident and effective at delivering presentations</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills; ability to influence without authority</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license; ability to travel regionally 50–70% of the time</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>*All applicants must pass pre-employment testing to include: background checks, MVR, and drug testing in order to qualify for employment*</em></p>\n<p><em></em></p>\n<p><em>Group 1 Automotive is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and participates in E-Verify</em></p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
