    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold\">Position Overview</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">As part of the OSC Technical Solutions Infrastructure organization, this position will be responsible for the technical support of the Hanford Accreditation Boundary referred to as the Hanford Local Area Network (HLAN) Information System, Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and other enclaves. Services include but are not limited to core network infrastructure (i.e., routers, switches, firewalls etc.), authentication services, servers, storage, Internet, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and other HLAN resources, infrastructure, and facilities for faults, service interruptions, and performance degradation.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold\">Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Analysis of application and systems that have been designated as critical Essential Support activities necessary to maintaining the Hanford Mission Essential Function – “Maintain the safeguards and security of special nuclear/radiological materials (material, weapons and devices) at DOE sites and facilities”.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Critical evaluation and configuration management of commercial, alternative, and Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) alerts using Network Management applications. Including, but not limited to environmental monitoring of Data Centers, telecom nodes and other critical infrastructure.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Analyze and troubleshoot network, servers, and application issues to resolve and meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) by maintaining high availability of critical infrastructure.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Infrastructure analysis and proactive management of networks, platforms, and critical application to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) to ensure high uptime availability of systems.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Responsible for tracking, communicating, documenting, and posting accurate Network incidents and outage information when failures are detected and post updates as new information becomes available.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Analysis, documenting, testing, and triaging Network and Server incidents. Working closely with other Subject Matter Experts (SME) and communicating outage details with Senior Management Team.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Identify IT Infrastructure systems problems, conduct diagnosis and document resolution details.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Perform Production Control job batch processing duties using Control-M Application, identify system failures, test, modify, and or design jobs to resolve issues.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Respond to scheduled and urgent unscheduled production impacting incidents and work closely with other technical teams such as Network Engineers, Cyber Security, Software Engineers, Safety Resources, after-hours emergency support groups and customers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Provide Cyber Security incident handling support.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Evaluate new solutions through research and collaboration and determine course of action for new technical initiatives.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Responsible for incident escalation and coordination of resources to resolve issues in a timely manner to meet Service Level Agreement metrics.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Support Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations (DR/COOP) exercises, testing and live incidents per procedures and policies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Maintain security and integrity controls.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Prepare written technical documentation, training material, standards, and reports</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Evaluate and recommend procurements of Windows or Appliance based hardware and software</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0)\">Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);
