    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Perform routine maintenance requirements on a fleet of tugs and barges as directed by the General Manager/Port Engineer. Perform inspections of vessels for repair & maintenance standards and procedures. Work with company mechanics as needed. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Repair marine equipment on site under adverse conditions at all hours.</li>\n <li>Maintain the confidentiality of all sensitive communications.</li>\n <li>Required to work aboard boats and barges using winches and mechanical tools for repairs.</li>\n <li>Frequently required to board tugs, barges, and ships, at dock or at anchor at all hours.</li>\n <li>Perform related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of Cummins, Caterpillar, John Deere Engines.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Twin Disc gears, Barge pumps, PTO’s.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems and components.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of the oil transportation and maritime industry.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of tug and barge maintenance systems and equipment.</li>\n <li>Work well with others using courtesy, tact, and good judgment.</li>\n <li>Must be physically fit enough to board barges and tugs at sea and in port in all weather conditions.</li>\n <li>Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently with minimal or no guidance. </li>\n <li>Ability to get along with office staff and vessel crewmembers.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read, speak, write, type, and understand English in person and over the telephone. </li>\n <li>Valid state drivers' license and clean driving record. </li>\n <li>Valid TWIC Card.</li>\n <li>HAZWOPER training within 90 days of being hired.</li>\n <li>AED First Aid and CPR training.</li>\n <li>Must be 18 years of age or older.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Condition and Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Travel may be involved on certain projects.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision.</li>\n <li>Exposure to all weather conditions (rain, ice, snow, heat, wind, heavy seas, etc.)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Expected Hours of Work</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.</li>\n <li>Takes communications 24 hours a day, including weekends, concerning vessel maintenance, repair, and operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p></p>\n<p>Centerline Logistics is a leading provider of marine transportation services in the United States.
