    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Head of Finance and Operations</span><br>The Head of Finance and Operations has responsibility for leading and managing the finance, administration and HR functions of ChildFund PNG.<br>The role is a key member of the Senior Management Team and will work closely with the Country director and Programs team to ensure strong program impact.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for leading and managing the finance team in the provision of high quality internal and external financial reporting.</li>\n<li>Manage the timely preparation of annual/long term budgets and detailed expenditure plans including departmental budgets to support project oversight</li>\n<li>Ensuring appropriate financial and internal controls including delegations of authority are in place and adhered to.</li>\n<li>Ensure that all project audits as requested by donors are carried out judiciously and documented evidence are provided as necessary.</li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate support is provided by the finance team in the development of grant funding proposals, budgets, and subsequent reporting and compliance requirements.</li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring all regulatory and taxation requirements are met.</li>\n<li>Responsible for providing procurement, logistics and administrative support for the country office.</li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring robust Security Operating Procedures (SOPS) are in place, regularly reviewed and adhered to by staff.</li>\n<li>Lead all IT related initiatives, infrastructure and data security ensuring full adherence to IT policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Responsible for managing HR function with a strong focus on developing high performing teams (training and development).</li>\n<li>Lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of PNG HR policies, guidelines and work health and safety standards.</li>\n<li>Together with the Country Director, ensure appropriate risk management processes are in place</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br>Qualifications &amp; Experience</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in business (master’s desirable), accounting or equivalent.</li>\n<li>At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role and in a similar role</li>\n<li>Experience and/or understands development, in PNG context and child focused development</li>\n<li>Significant experience and knowledge of Financial Management</li>\n<li>Sound experience and/or knowledge of Human Resources Management</li>\n<li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills</li>\n<li>Excellent computer and typing skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li>\n<li>Membership in a professional accounting body, ideally CPA or CA</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Other Requirements</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some local and international travel will be required</li>\n<li>A satisfactory Police Check upon commencement and renewed every 2 years (completed by ChildFund)</li>\n<li>Must have full working rights in PNG</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Full working rights in PNG - role is open to national and international candidates</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>At ChildFund Australia, all staff must remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding or sexual exploitation, abuse, or harassment (SEAH) risks.
