    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Approve, release, and monitor status of production and purchase requisitions</li>\n <li>Develop and provide input to manufacturing build plan</li>\n <li>Develop priorities and communicate support functions while taking an active role in problem. Resolution as required</li>\n <li>Coordinate with all shop departments to ensure proper inventory levels-maintain knowledge of plant operations and equipment design in order to plan properly</li>\n <li>Review and release work orders per the system demand, manage the system recommended messages, as well as maintain work order dates that adhere to the metrics for the organization</li>\n <li>Keep Planning Manager aware of the applicable changes that would affect the lead time of the parts so that the system can be kept up-to date</li>\n <li>Regularly monitor and update safety stock levels in the system</li>\n <li>Comply with all NOV company and HSE policies and procedures&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Machine shop manufacturing and purchasing a strong plus</span></li>\n <li><span>High school/bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a planning routing function</span></li>\n <li><span>Background in manufacturing and/or operations required</span></li>\n <li><span>APICS or CPM certification desired</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge and experience in JDE system or equivalent a strong plus</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to see overall strategy and execute at the detail level</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum of 3 years in manufacturing operations</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Broad knowledge and experience in Manufacturing processes, work order release, routing and BOM</span></li>\n <li><span>Above average skills in ERP systems and communication</span></li>\n <li><span>Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities</span></li>\n <li><span>General knowledge of engineering prints, supply chain and material management&nbsp;</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>COMPETITIVE BENEFITS</strong>:&nbsp;(visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)</p>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.</li>\n <li>Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
