Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(33, 33, 33)\">We are currently seeking a<span> </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Commissionaire<span> </span></span>to join our growing team.<span> </span><span style=\"color: rgb(72, 65, 63)\">This posting is for an existing vacancy.</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(33, 33, 33)\">Your commitment to serving the needs of our clients and employees will encourage client and employee loyalty and enhance our organization’s success.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enforce the City of Burlington Parking By-Laws and related policies</li>\n<li>Maintain assigned patrol beat as per schedule, or as requested by the client</li>\n<li>Conduct daily inspection of site equipment, including hand-held machines, printers, and duty vehicle (if applicable)</li>\n<li>Respond to calls from the City of Burlington for parking By-Law enforcement</li>\n<li>Provide assistance to other members of the detachment, as well as law enforcement agencies, as requested</li>\n<li>Maintain a high level of standards with regards to personal appearance, hygiene, and deportment</li>\n<li>Provide assistance to residents, visitors, employees, clients, etc</li>\n<li>Complete daily logs and written reports as necessary<br></li>\n<li>Patrol the City of Burlington to issue parking tickets and chalk vehicles in accordance with local parking regulations</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as requested by client, supervisor, or regional manager</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li> Valid Ontario Security Guard License  </li>\n<li>Valid First Aid and CPR certificate</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">*MUST* have valid Class 'G' Ontario Driver's License</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">*MUST* clear driver's abstract</span></li>\n<li>Possess excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Suite. eg: Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.</li>\n<li>Be able to think critically</li>\n<li>Be able to walk extensively throughout the city as part of shift duties</li>\n<li>Be able to de-escalate situations as necessary</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(72, 65, 63); font-weight: bold\">WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Job Type: Full-Time<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></li>\n<li>Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.12</li>\n<li>Working Hours: Tuesday - Friday 0900- 1700</li>\n<li>Location: 1376 Elgin St., Burlington, Ontario<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT WE OFFER YOU</span><span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical and Dental</li>\n<li>Employee assistance program</li>\n<li>Family Assistance program</li>\n<li>Coaching and counselling support</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR COMMSSIONAIRES</span>:</span></p>\n<p>As a front-line representative of our company and client’s site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We would like to thank all those who apply, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is fully committed to abiding by all equal opportunity employment standards.
