Our broad service offering includes construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing.</p><p><strong>What are we looking for?</strong></p><p>The <strong>Geotechnical Project Coordinator/Geologist </strong>role performs a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Salary &amp; Benefits Information</strong></p><p>In addition to competitive compensation packages, when working with Intertek you can expect benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation / sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement and more.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\">Perform geotechnical laboratory testing including Atterberg limits, grain size analysis, moisture content, and Proctor compaction tests</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\">Conduct soil and rock classification and maintain accurate records</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\">Assist with field investigations including drilling, sampling, and site inspections</p></li><li>Coordinate and manage geotechnical engineering projects</li><li>Plan field investigations, drilling programs, and site activities</li><li>Perform soil and rock logging, site assessments, and field observations</li><li>Prepare geotechnical reports, proposals, and technical documentation</li><li>Communicate with clients, contractors, laboratories, and project teams</li><li>Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion</li><li>Support engineers with geotechnical analyses, recommendations, and construction-related services</li><li>Assist Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (example: Soil, concrete or other) and provide assessment of data through reporting</li><li>Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams</li><li>Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities and give limited interpretation of results</li><li>Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results</li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\">Prepare laboratory reports and summarize test results</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\">Ensure compliance with ASTM and AASHTO standards</p></li><li><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; margin-right: 0in; margin-top: 0in;\">Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details.
