Reporting to the site supervisor, your role involves operating heavy equipment, to ensure high-quality surface finishes. Your core skills in heavy equipment operation and paving will be complimented by your mechanical knowledge and experience in construction. With a focus on safety and teamwork, you will contribute to the successful completion of projects while adhering to industry standards and regulations. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Experience with smaller chassis machines such as: LEEBOY, WEILER</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Follow direction of Project Manager and Superintendent as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">May be called upon to run small power tools such as jack hammer, plate tamp, and partner saw.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Dig, spread, and level materials.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Lift, carry, and hold material, tools and supplies.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Assists in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.</span><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Knowledge/Skill Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in paving.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to read, write and do basic mathematical calculations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">CDL preferred but not required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment, would be a plus.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Calculate tonnage and run yields.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements</span><br><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Able to work in all weather conditions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hand and arms above their shoulders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">High school diploma or General Education Degree GED is preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">5 years minimum experience</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Work Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Must be 21 years or older.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Must pass pre-employment drug screen and have a clean driving record/license.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Must be willing to work overtime when necessary and Saturdays.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica;
