Details discussed during the interview process.\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Chicago, IL | Sign-On Bonus + Relocation Assistance</p>\n<p>Salary Range: $1,332 – $1,792.80 per week (base gross), based on a 36-hour (3x12-hour) schedule; equivalent to $37.00 – $49.80 per hour.</p>\n<p>Department: Cardiopulmonary / Respiratory TherapyJob Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt Location: Chicago Metro Area, Illinois</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) / Respiratory Therapist (RRT) delivers respiratory therapy treatments and pulmonary diagnostic services in an acute care setting, including assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of care across all patient populations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a full-time opportunity in Chicago – big-city lifestyle, strong healthcare market, no car required, lakefront living.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Candidates must be willing to relocate. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>✔ Interview within 24 - 48 hours | Fast Offer Process✔ Work in a high-acuity, critical care environment and advanced respiratory cases</p>\n<p>✔ Competitive pay + shift differentials</p>\n<p>✔ Career growth within a large healthcare system</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Administer respiratory therapy treatments (oxygen, aerosol, airway management)</li>\n <li>Manage ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen systems</li>\n <li>Perform pulmonary diagnostics (ABGs, PFTs)</li>\n <li>Implement patient-specific respiratory care plans</li>\n <li>Document care in the EMR</li>\n <li>Respond to code blue and rapid response events</li>\n <li>Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes</li>\n <li>May serve as Lead RCP during assigned shifts</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>RRT certification (NBRC)</li>\n <li>Active State RCP License or ability to obtain Illinois licensure prior to start</li>\n <li>BLS (AHA) upon hire</li>\n <li>ACLS and PALS within 60 days of hire</li>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy</li>\n <li>2+ years of RCP experience</li>\n <li>NRP certification</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>\n<p>Prime Healthcare Illinois offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs.
