We are the partner our clients turn to and trust to help them constantly improve business processes and make work better.</p><p>Summary:</p><p>As OKIN&#39;s Tutor Specialist, you will provide remote support to K-12 students on advanced subject matters such as (Maths, Science, Physics, History, and English). You will be the first point of contact for students who contact the helpline via phone, chat, and video.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Recognize the different learning styles and student preferences</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, papers, research, and other academic tasks</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Use active listening strategies to allow students to determine content and pace of tutoring</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span> Utilize listening and questioning strategies as the primary tutoring method to diagnose student needs and monitor progress&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span> Participate in professional development activities to improve tutorial skills and continue to &nbsp; grow cultural competence and reflection skills&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span> Utilize feedback and reflection to improve practice</p><p>Duties include:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Recognize primary role to help students become more confident, more successful, self-directed learners</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Be direct and kind with students at the same time</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Provide direct assistance in the use of equipment, learning objects, and materials</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>needed for student success</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Make appropriate referrals to other campus and community resources as needed</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications:</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Associates or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in the subject area or closely related field.
