          "text": "<p>The Newsroom Coordinator will oversee key administrative needs across the NBC News Washington Bureau while providing critical support to our flagship early-career program. &#xa0;This newly created role will report to the Senior Director of Newsgathering, supporting key newsroom functions in a fast-moving multiplatform environment while assisting the development of our desk assistants.</p><p><strong>Duties:</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with the DC bureau leadership team to provide administrative support for the DC desk assistant program, including scheduling</li><li>Support the newsroom staff in their daily newsgathering activities, maintain supplies and serve as a liaison to the facilities manager and IT staff</li><li>Support beat teams on all credentialing needs, including passports, visas and beat passes</li><li>Organize and coordinate employee engagement events in partnership with the HR team, including town halls, holiday and cultural celebrations, as well as well-being initiatives</li><li>Oversee office and desk space for bureau staff and visitors and serve as point of contact for bureau tours</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Basic Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree</li><li>Minimum 5 years of newsroom experience</li><li>Experience with Washington newsgathering and / or news production management</li><li>Experience managing and developing early-career journalists</li><li>Ability to work nights and weekends, in the event of breaking news</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Characteristics:</strong></p><ul><li>Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal</li><li>Exceptional administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong></p><p><strong>Hybrid:&#xa0;</strong>This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
