As an essential part of our emergency response network, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality pre-hospital care to individuals in need. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on community health and safety while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Respond promptly to emergency calls as part of a 911 staffing team.</li><li>Assess patients&#39; conditions quickly and accurately, prioritizing care based on severity.</li><li>Administer basic life support (BLS) interventions as per established protocols.</li><li>Safely transport patients to medical facilities ensuring continuity of care.</li><li>Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, their families, and healthcare providers.</li><li>Document patient assessment, treatment provided, and response to interventions accurately and timely.</li><li>Maintain and clean equipment and ambulances in accordance with established standards.</li><li>Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing emergency medical services.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-Basic) in Virginia.</li><li>Valid CPR (BLS) certification.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations and make critical decisions.</li><li>Physical ability to lift and maneuver patients and equipment safely.</li><li>Clean driving record and ability to operate an ambulance safely.</li><li>EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) Class II</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Previous experience working in a 911 emergency response setting.</li><li>Knowledge of local geography and roadways.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Competitive hourly wages with opportunities for overtime.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, short-term disability, life and vision coverage.</li><li>Paid time off and holiday pay.</li><li>Tuition assistance.</li><li>Continuing education and training opportunities.</li></ul><p><strong>About Us:</strong> We currently operate in Amelia, Cumberland, Powhatan, Middlesex and Surry County.
