    "description": "<h2>The Opportunity</h2>\n<h3><strong>RS&H is currently seeking an In-Service Bridge Inspector (Technician) to join our National NBIS Bridge Inspection team in Raleigh, NC.</strong></h3>\n<p>This position is ideal for a travel-ready professional who thrives in a hands-on, field-focused environment and is eager to build a long-term career in bridge inspection. While the role has a primary focus on North Carolina and the East Coast, this is a national position with travel opportunities across multiple states. As part of the National NBIS In-Service Bridge Inspection team, you will play a critical role in evaluating the safety and condition of existing bridge structures while gaining exposure to a wide range of projects early in your career.</p>\n<h3><strong>As part of the RS&H team, you will:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform routine and in-depth inspections of in-service bridges, culverts, and ancillary structures under the guidance of senior inspectors</li>\n <li>Document field conditions through detailed notes, measurements, and photography</li>\n <li>Assist in preparing bridge inspection and scoping reports</li>\n <li>Support hands-on inspection activities at elevation, including access equipment and climbing as required</li>\n <li>Work collaboratively with team members to ensure inspections are completed safely and efficiently</li>\n <li>Travel extensively (often weeks at a time) to project sites across the East Coast and nationwide</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>To be successful in this role, you must:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Be comfortable with <strong>extensive travel</strong>, including extended periods away from home</li>\n <li>Be comfortable working at <strong>heights</strong> and in active field environments</li>\n <li>Have a strong <strong>field mindset</strong> with interest in hands-on inspection work (not design-focused)</li>\n <li>Have a high school diploma or equivalent and <strong>2+ years of relevant field experience</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>(4+ years preferred depending on level)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Have experience in construction inspection, bridge inspection, materials testing, or related field work</li>\n <li>Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a company vehicle</li>\n <li>Be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions</li>\n <li>Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards) certification</li>\n <li>EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology</li>\n <li>Experience with bridge inspection, load rating, or bridge construction</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>What We Offer:</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid Vacation, Personal Time Off, and Holiday Pay</li>\n <li>401(k) with Company Match</li>\n <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance</li>\n <li>Certification and Licensure Support</li>\n <li>100% Employee Owned Company!</li>\n <li>Career Advancement Opportunities</li>\n <li>Pet Insurance</li>\n <li>Cellphone Stipend</li>\n <li>Company Vehicle</li>\n <li>And much more!</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply.</p>\n<h3><strong>Important Notes:</strong>This role is <strong>not suited for candidates seeking predictable schedules or minimal travel</strong>.
