This role involves processing large quantities of Amberg <br>data. Including generating gauging files, reports and height &amp; stagger data. It is ideally <br>suited to someone with extensive experience in multiple versions of Amberg software as <br>well as a solid base of knowledge on all FME related processes and mapping. They will <br>also have extensive knowledge of both Height &amp; Stagger and have the capability to QA <br>check their own work to ensure it has passed phase one of internal QA before review. The <br>individual will also have extensive experience in a variety of gauging methodologies <br>including platform gauging and Amberg SC0 generation, they will also need to be <br>competent enough to ensure that this data also passes phase one of internal QA before <br>review. Additionally, they will be involved in CAD processing of rail and topographic data <br>where needed. This is an office-based role.  <br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be based at our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Manchester Office </span>and will report directly <br>to the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project Manager and CAD Coordinator. </span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Do </span></p>\n<p><br>• Processing a variety of rail data including but not limited to </p>\n<p><br>o Amberg data  <br>▪ Amberg3000 <br>▪ Amberg5000 <br>o Bance Platform Gauge <br>o Mephisto  <br>o Static Pointcloud data  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Ensure all processed data meets internal Phase One quality assurance <br>requirements followed by phase two where applicable.  <br>• Identify anomalies in the data and report to technical manager immediately. <br>• Carry out the appropriate tasks as outlined/briefed by the CAD Coordinator or <br>project manager responsible. <br>• Liaise with field teams to clarify data queries, verify information, and ensure <br>efficient data handover. <br>• Maintain accurate records of processed datasets and project documentation. <br>• Maintain accurate QA documentation for all stages of the project relevant to your <br>area.  <br>• Collaborate with team members across departments to meet project deadlines <br>and contribute to continuous improvement. <br>• Assist with training and mentoring of junior staff when required. <br>• Produce detailed technical drawings and models for rail infrastructure including <br>track layouts, signalling interfaces, gauging outputs, asset mapping, and <br>monitoring schemes. <br>• Notify the CAD Coordinator of daily progress, also notify of any potential issues. <br>• Understanding of data analysis and being able to identify possible trends in data <br>and report. <br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You will be required to adhere to the following: </span><br>• Internal standards within the department including but not limited to <br>o LOD/LOI <br>o Data storage &amp; Management <br>o File processing &amp; structuring <br>o Technical processing procedures <br>• ISO 19650 standard <br>• Network Rail  <br>• Client/Project specific requirements  <br>• Internal QA processes and procedures including assurance documentation</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Bring </span></p>\n<p><br>• Previous experience of high accuracy Amberg data processing for both the <br>IMS3000 &amp; IMS5000.  <br>• Understanding of processing rail survey data from a variety of sources. <br>• Have knowledge of survey techniques, methodologies, site limitations and survey <br>equipment. <br>• Have knowledge of alternative rail data systems e.g. Mephisto, Gedo etc. <br>• Capable of survey control network adjustments including the use of StarNet <br>• Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail in analysing and <br>interpreting all types of rail geospatial data. <br>• Ability to communicate technical information effectively. <br>• Understand scopes of work and project requirements. <br>• Experience of AutoCAD/MicroStation/N4ce (specifically Height &amp; Stagger Manual <br>extraction as well as .Sc0 Manual extraction) /FME and relevant workflow use. <br>• Experience of Platform gauge &amp; Datum plate surveys <br>• The Right to Work in the UK <br>• University degree in survey related field (Desired but not essential) <br>• Experience as a site-based land surveyor/engineer (Desired but not essential)</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Attributes </span></p>\n<p><br>• Ability to work on your own initiative and to develop new applications and <br>projects, as well as working within an existing team <br>• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal <br>• An ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads and achieve critical <br>deadlines <br>• Willingness to develop skills and knowledgebase. <br>• A flexible, positive attitude towards work and be a team player <br>• Enthusiastic and structured approach to planning with good problem-solving <br>abilities <br><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits You Will Love </span></p>\n<p><br>At Murphy Geospatial – A Woolpert Company, you’ll join a collaborative and innovative <br>team where your expertise makes a real impact.
