    "description": "<h2>Position Description</h2>\n<p><strong>At a Glance</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Legrand </strong>has an exciting opportunity for a <strong>IT Support Specialist</strong> to join the <strong>Data Power and Control Team</strong> in <strong>Farmingdale, NY</strong>. The IT Support Specialist provides technical support to company employees, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This role serves as the primary point of contact for end-user technical issues onsite while also delivering remote support to global sites and users.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What Will You Do?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide direct technical support for end users at the Legrand Data, Power, and Control onsite and remote support for global sites and users</li>\n <li>Support manufacturing operations, including Windows computers, OT systems, and IoT devices</li>\n <li>Liaise with IT functional experts to ensure correct and timely support is delivered</li>\n <li>Resolve general hardware and software technical issues</li>\n <li>Maintain and repair computers and peripheral devices</li>\n <li>Facilitate new employee setup, deployment, and onboarding</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment</li>\n <li>Install and configure software on user machines</li>\n <li>Manage cybersecurity vulnerabilities and partner with IT staff and business users on cybersecurity initiatives</li>\n <li>Coordinate maintenance and repairs with third-party vendors</li>\n <li>Purchase and provision IT supplies</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as necessary or assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>4+ years of IT user support experience</li>\n <li>ITIL 4 Foundation certification preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven IT experience supporting end users and computer systems</li>\n <li>Preferred experience supporting Windows servers and network environments</li>\n <li>Working understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP network protocols</li>\n <li>Familiarity with ITSM principles and best practices</li>\n <li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment while managing multiple priorities</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Skilled at diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds</li>\n <li>Ability to sit for extended periods of time</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Info</h2>\n<p><strong>About Legrand</strong></p>\n<p>Legrand is the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures.
