    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><b><u>SUMMARY</u></b></span></p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">In accordance with RNP&#39;s Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies, the Recovery Coach provides peer support services for individuals and their families impacted by Substance Use Disorders and/or Behavioral Health Disorders to effectively address the myriad of issues that arise throughout the recovery process. </span></p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><strong>HOURS:&nbsp;</strong>Monday - Thursday; 8:00 am&ndash;1:00 pm; Friday: 8:00 am&ndash;12:00&nbsp;noon</span></p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><b><u>CORE FUNCTIONS </u></b></span></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Provides recovery support through a self-directed, strength-based approach to care. Utilizes principles based on the Recovery Coach Ten Components of Recovery.</span>&nbsp; </span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">Promotes recovery by linking individuals to recovery support activities and assists them in overcoming personal and environmental obstacles to recover.</span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Serves as a professional guide and mentor for persons seeking recovery and their families.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Provides on-call coverage for crisis intervention and stabilization.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Recognizes the elements of client crisis, implements an immediate course of action (in consultation with supervisor) appropriate to the crisis.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Provides information and assertive linkages to services and resources with an emphasis on self-help groups, CCAR, recovery houses, sober events and programs, employment and job services.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Maintains communications with community providers and builds a network of recovery support services to support program participant&rsquo;s attendance in organized, social sober activities.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><a>Adheres to all documentation and reporting requirements.</a></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">Prepares agenda for supervision and utilizes supervision as needed to meet professional goals.</span></span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">Uses personal vehicle to travel throughout the Bridgeport, CT area.</span></li>\r\n\t<li style=\"margin-left:8px;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<div style=\"page-break-after: always\"><span style=\"display: none;\">&nbsp;</span></div>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><b><u>CORE COMPETENCIES</u></b></span></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">Certification as a Recovery Coach required.&nbsp; Lived experience in stable recovery required.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:16px;\">Established expertise and practices related to professional boundaries and ethics.</span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><a>Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships and project a professional image.</a></span></li>\r\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"color:#000000;\">A v</span>alid Connecticut driver&#39;s license and reliable transportation is required.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n",
