Answers the telephone and greets guests to the department. </li>\n <li>Maintains current job knowledge in order to effectively instruct students or other personnel. </li>\n <li>Responsible for an active role in the laboratory quality improvement program. </li>\n <li>Follows the established policies and procedures to meet regulatory and accrediting agency requirements. </li>\n <li>Practices infection control and safety practices and keeps a clean and organized work area. </li>\n <li>Maintains confidentiality of patient record, hospital and departmental matters at all times.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor or Associate’s degree required. </li>\n <li>Successful completion of clinical laboratory training internship.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>Licensure/Certification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains current Alabama license as a Medical Technologist in the specialty or specialties required by the laboratory section(s) assigned. </li>\n <li>National Certification such as American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB), or American Medical Technologists (AMT) preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>Experience</strong>: None</p>",
