In this critical role, you will lead the estimation process for moderately complex electrical projects, ensuring precise cost assessments and competitive bids. You must have good technical knowledge and the ability to work independently. You will collaborate closely with various departments to develop comprehensive and competitive estimates. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our project’s success and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the industry. You will drive decisions with the support of the company’s leadership group. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location/Travel Requirements: </strong>Position will have 10% travel expectations and will be located in the Kansas City office. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Pay Range: </strong>This is an exempt/salary position. Pay may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.</p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop bid hour and bid sheets for estimates on bid projects</li>\n <li>Contact suppliers for pricing </li>\n <li>Negotiate pricing</li>\n <li>Prepare take-offs, staking sheets</li>\n <li>Create logistics plans for materials</li>\n <li>Familiarize with bid documents</li>\n <li>Conduct visits to job sites as needed</li>\n <li>Timely inform others within the department of project status and current assignments</li>\n <li>Assess accurate and efficient estimating techniques</li>\n <li>Assist other members of the estimating team</li>\n <li>Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products</li>\n <li>Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work</li>\n <li>Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for very large, complex projects</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain professional, working relationships with vendors, customers, engineers, owners, contractors, and subcontractors for any changes in work, schedule, and estimates</li>\n <li>Handle technical problems encountered during bid preparation</li>\n <li>Stay current on various trends and developments such as new equipment, methods, and procedures developing in the industry or specialized discipline (e.g., electrical, civil, foundations, etc.).</li>\n <li>Prepare special studies or reports required by the unusual nature of some bid items or conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction or Electrical Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance OR extensive and related work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge, skills and abilities described above</li>\n <li>3+ years of estimating experience in a construction-related industry</li>\n <li>Preferred experience with Electrical Utilities - Transmission Lines, Substation, or Distribution</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<p>PAR offers a comprehensive benefits package including:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>100% employer-paid health care benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for you and your dependents</li>\n <li>100% employer-paid basic life insurance</li>\n <li>100% employer-paid disability benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan with matching contribution</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off (sick and vacation)</li>\n <li>Paid Holidays</li>\n <li>Tuition Assistance</li>\n <li>Wellness and Mental Health Programs</li>\n <li>Learning and Development Programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC does not sponsor applicants for work visas.
