    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong><br>\n Vertiv is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled <i><strong>Test Engineer</strong></i>&nbsp;to join our team in Anderson, South Carolina, supporting high-impact projects in the data center industry with a strong focus on low-voltage (LV) power distribution systems. The&nbsp;<strong>Test Engineer</strong>&nbsp;focuses on designing and developing equipment setups and test procedures. The Test Engineer performs varied and complex assignments for major systems at testing; design and develop test procedures and assist in the evaluation of test equipment required to perform quality checks; prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used for the product(s). &nbsp;</p>\n<p>We are looking for candidates who are self-directed, solution-focused, and thrive in cross-functional teams. You will be part of a growing organization supporting some of the largest and most mission-critical data center projects across the U.S.</p>\n<p>This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Anderson, SC office location.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work in Lab environment and direct local Test Technicians as needed in daily activity including job assignments and expectation of completion.</li>\n <li>Work closely with design engineering teams to ensure test procedures/data meets expectations.</li>\n <li>Create Test Plans for customer equipment demonstrations. &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Review test progress and evaluate results. &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Perform required presentations utilizing test equipment for customer visits.</li>\n <li>Perform test validations and Factory Witness Tests.</li>\n <li>Perform instrumentation calibrations within the lab.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provide continuous support to engineering and support groups in order to provide internal and external customers with outstanding final quality test products.</li>\n <li>Experience in safety certification such as UL and CE are preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent degree; preferred with thermal sciences emphasis.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 &nbsp;years’ experience in power management systems testing. &nbsp;Other equivalent combinations of education and hands-on experience may be considered. &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Vertiv Power Management Products preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of LabView preferred.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Thermal heat rise, Short circuit current rating for LV/MV Switchgear and Switchboard product and their methods of test.</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of 3-Phase electrical circuits.</li>\n <li>Thorough knowledge of digital and electronic circuitry.</li>\n <li>Ability to configure data acquisition systems.</li>\n <li>Ability to use temperature and pressure measurement instruments.</li>\n <li>Ability to use standard electrical instruments and hand tools.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret industry test standards.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret product schematics.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to be hands-on with products and test set-ups to troubleshoot and diagnose issues. &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Leadership and communication skills. &nbsp;Ability to give directions to Test Technicians &amp; communicate any test issues to all levels of management.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude towards customer relations.</li>\n <li>Self-directed, good problem-solving skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency in English: Ability to communicate and work in English.</li>\n <li>Good knowledge of MS Office (Oracle experience is an advantage).</li>\n <li>Category B driving license.</li>\n <li>Experience in project management and A-CAD (Solidworks/ CREO) is an advantage.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical &amp; Environmental Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hands on engineering; use of basic hand tools; lift 20 pounds.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Time Travel Needed:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Travel as required, domestic and international, &lt;5%</p>",
