          "text": "<p><strong>Union:</strong> CUPE<br>\n<strong>New or Replacement: </strong>Replacement<br>\n<strong>Site:&#xa0;</strong>Toronto General Hospital<br>\n<strong>Department:&#xa0;</strong>Nephrology<br>\n<strong>Reports to:&#xa0;</strong>Manager<br>\n<strong>Wage Range:</strong>&#xa0;$29.45 - $30.36 per hour&#xa0;(start rate is non-negotiable and in accordance with collective agreement requirements)<br>\n<strong>Hours: </strong>Up to 24<strong>&#xa0;</strong>Hours per Week<br>\n<strong>Shifts:</strong>&#xa0;0620-1420; 0730-1520; 1600-2350; 1530-2320; 2330-0720<br>\n<strong>Status: </strong>Permanent Part-Time<br>\n<strong>Closing Date: </strong>June 11, 2026</p><p><strong>Duties</strong></p><p>The principle responsibilities of the Hemodialysis Assistant include:</p><ul><li>Assisting the Registered Nurse in the care of patients in the Hemodialysis Unit</li><li>Priming, dismantling and disinfecting of dialysis machines; set up and prime off unit machines;</li><li>Performing transportation responsibilities via bed, walker and/or wheelchair</li><li>Dial sate sampling; stocking the unit and storage room with supplies</li><li>Assisting patients with weighing, washroom trips, transfers, heavy lifting, etc.</li><li>Adhering to and performing routine safety measures and preventative maintenance; performing departmental duties</li><li>Retrieving and documenting in patient’s chart in addition to protecting patient records/information from all unauthorized persons</li><li>Ensuring general cleanliness of work area</li><li>Assisting the Registered Nurse and/or patient with other duties as assigned</li><li>Performing other duties consistent with the job classification as required.</li></ul>",
