    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Senior Intelligence Analyst</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">CRIMINAL BUREAU</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">ENTERPRISE &amp; MAJOR CRIMES DIVISION</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">(Boston or Regional Office)</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Enterprise &amp; Major Crimes Division of the Criminal Bureau as a Senior Intelligence Analyst to conduct and</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">supervise intelligence analysis related to the work of the Fentanyl Strike Force (FSF).</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> The Enterprise &amp; Major Crimes Division is staffed by a group of experienced prosecutors who partner with Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the Attorney General’s Office, financial investigators, and local, state, and federal investigative and enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute large-scale narcotics trafficking organizations throughout the Commonwealth.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Primary Duties</span>: The Senior Intelligence Analyst (SIA) will be responsible for developing tactical, operational and strategic intelligence information to support ongoing investigations and counter-drug operations. The SIA will serve as a strategic decision-maker for the implementation of the grant mission with the AGO Criminal Bureau, the Massachusetts State Police and their external partners. The Senior Intelligence Analyst duties will include:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Supervise and provide guidance to the Intelligence Analyst.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Conduct and manage complex research into drug cultivation and production, methods of transportation, trafficking routes, and the structure and analysis of trafficking organizations, including but not limited to, analysis of telephone-related data, such as subscriber and toll records and evaluation of phone calls, email activity, text messages, etc., to quantify criminal plotting and conspiracy activities.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Coordinate and conduct the FSF’s analysis of aggregate data sets, including constructing methodologies, as well as determining causes, patterns, and better methods to improve public safety outcomes and cultivate possible leads or further direction for deeper investigation into criminal activity.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Analyze aggregate datasets and develop methodologies to determine root causes, patterns, and opportunities to improve public safety and generate investigative leads.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Use data collection and mapping software to compile information received from partner enforcement reports which will be used to create reports and recommendations for crime prevention and response techniques with local, state, and federal partners.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Conduct preliminary vetting of incoming tips and intelligence.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Prepare, summarize, and present investigative findings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Solicit user participation in contributing information to various intelligence databases.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Meet with law enforcement officials to identify gaps in existing criminal investigation and intelligence data, to collect raw data, and to evaluate investigatory progress.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Coordinate multi-agency collaboration and provide project management and intelligence analysis for all partners, including meeting logistics, channel interagency communications, and data presentations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Collaborate with law enforcement officials and Assistant Attorneys General to identify gaps in existing criminal investigation and intelligence, to collect raw data, and to evaluate and support case progress.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Communicate and coordinate with other law enforcement agencies on deconfliction matters.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Perform additional duties as assigned in support of the unit objectives and needs, including but not limited to financial reporting and management.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Position Requirements</span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Bachelor’s degree or equivalent demonstrated experience working as an Intelligence Analyst in law enforcement, military, or intelligence environments; advanced degree in data analysis and prior management experience, preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Knowledge of or interest in drug law enforcement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including experience with statistical software and expertise in designing reports, link charts, graphs, and tables.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Experience conducting research, synthesizing and interpreting data, preparing and presenting reports, and writing.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Ability to independently manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Ability to interact with staff at all levels with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Ability to work effectively in an interagency environment with federal, state, and local law enforcement and intelligence professionals.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Familiarity with social media data exploitation and comfort with open-source research.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Excellent organizational, program planning, and communication skills.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a connection to the people and communities we serve and an interest in supporting a respectful and inclusive work environment.  </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Location</span>: The person hired for this position would be able to work out of the Boston office or one of the regional offices which are located in Springfield, New Bedford, and Worcester.
