    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages decontamination, sterilization, distribution and storage of supplies, instruments and equipment.</li>\n <li>Participates in Performance Improvement.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates Fiscal management.</li>\n <li>Maintains proper environment of care.</li>\n <li>Participates in ongoing education.</li>\n <li>Completes all assigned goals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Specifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Weekend and holiday call and/or shifts are required.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Required</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Preferred/Desired</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Education</strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Required</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Successfully passed a nationally accredited central service exam for central service technicians and maintains a certified registered central service technical credential administered by the International Association of healthcare Central Service Material Management or the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution; OR was employed as a central service technician before January 5, 2021; OR obtains certification as listed above not later than 2 years after the date of hire. Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
