Overview
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.
Open to internal and external candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift, and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will under general supervision, perform technical, mechanical, electrical, and manual work in control rooms, operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an engineering test facility.
Supplementary Functions: Participation in functional specific safety training
Job Duties:
Checks out and prepares plant equipment and test facility equipment for operations
Prepares test articles for testing
Installs test articles and checks installations
Installs high-speed data cabling
Troubleshoots equipment, test articles, and installations in case of malfunctions
Operates plant and test equipment during tests
Assists in tests and operates test articles such as controls for engines and rockets
Removes test articles after test
Installs and maintains facility systems
Accomplishes maintenance and servicing work required to place and keep test facility equipment in operation
Uses a wide variety of hand and machine tools, power equipment, measuring and testing equipment
Instructs less experienced lower grade craftsmen
It is a condition of employment to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
Performs other related duties as required
Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications:
Educational Equivalent: Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
Specific Knowledge or Experience: Four years of electrician experience in the working section of an aeronautical test facility operation. Progressive electrical experience in the trade may be substituted for the required experience
Licenses/Certifications: Valid State Driver’s License
Communication Skills: Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions
Must put forward professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
Current United States Citizenship required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network
Must be able to obtain and maintain Fiber Optic (Basic and Advanced) and Fusion Splicing Certification
Preferred Qualifications
