Engineering Co-op – Mechanical (12-18 months) About the Role: This Engineering Co-op role is based in our GTA office and is designed for a current university student seeking a 12–18 month placement to complement their studies. You are a motivated, curious, and collaborative team player who is eager to gain hands-on experience in project coordination and mechanical building services while learning from a team of dynamic project managers and senior project managers. In this role, you will build practical skills in communication, coordination, and construction project delivery while working closely with internal teams, clients, and senior leadership in a professional consulting environment. What You’ll Bring To TCG:    Currently enrolled in a university engineering program, preferably mechanical engineering or a related discipline. •    Available for a 12–18 month co-op placement to complement your studies. •    A strong interest in mechanical building services, project coordination, and the construction industry. •    Coursework or foundational knowledge related to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems is considered an asset. •    Familiarity with the National Building Code of Canada, the Ontario Building Code, or related standards is an asset but not required. •    Eagerness to learn project management principles and apply them in a professional setting. •    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team. •    Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written formats with colleagues and project stakeholders. •    Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. •    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. •    A positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. All Co-Op students must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for commuting to our office and site visits. What You Can Expect in our Recruitment Process: A preliminary screen with HR either via email or phone to confirm a few details about the position, your academic program, and your co-op search. If we are aligned, we will proceed with the following interviews: A 45-60 minute virtual conversation with one of our Engineering Managers from the respective team you are applying to. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about your coursework, interests, and the areas in which you hope to gain hands-on experience. A 60-minute in-person interview with both our Engineering Manager as well as our President, Sam Soltani. This is a great opportunity for you to hear more about the company, our plans for growth, and how you would fit into the team during your co-op term. Additional team interview, as required by role. HR will connect with you to gather references and process a background check in tandem with your Offer of Employment. Once your Offer of Employment is accepted, the team will then begin preparing for your onboarding journey with us.
