    "description": "<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2>\n<p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p>\n<p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a <strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week </strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>This is a pro bono volunteer position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>JerseySTEM is seeking a skilled Scrum Master to help implement and execute transformational organization outcomes. The candidate will have demonstrated expertise and application of Agile methodologies, techniques and frameworks, a successful track record of driving and facilitating teams, commitment to continuous learning and mindset of relentless improvement. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Attend the Scrum meeting of the team you will be supporting (weekly or daily).</li>\n <li>Create user stories to describe work items, with clear descriptions and acceptance criteria.</li>\n <li>Prioritize stories for the backlog and keep the team organized and focused.</li>\n <li>Conduct weekly meetings and monitor the health of the Kanban or Sprint board.</li>\n <li>Encourage team members to utilize JIRA for task management.</li>\n <li>Drive open communication with team members.</li>\n <li>Be the servant leader for the team members, mentoring/assisting them when needed.</li>\n <li>Identify opportunities for improvement and be “THE CHAMPION OF CHANGE”.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Technical Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience using Jira, Kanban or Sprint Board, Slack </li>\n <li>Excellent communication, analytical, mentoring and problem-solving skills</li>\n <li>Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Minimum time commitment:  4 - 6 hours/ week, for a minimum 6 months</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p>Weekly meeting TBA</p>",
