Overview Omega Technical Services is seeking experienced Conduct of Operations (ConOps) professionals to support CPCCo field operations at the Hanford Site. These positions will serve as mentors to field personnel, promoting excellence in Conduct of Operations principles, work planning, work execution, procedure compliance, and safe work performance in nuclear and radiological environments. Successful candidates will provide mentoring, coaching, observations, assessments, and guidance to enhance conduct of work practices while building strong working relationships with operations, maintenance, radiological control, and work control personnel. Work is performed on a 4/10 schedule supporting field activities in Hazard Category 2 and 3 nuclear facilities and other high-risk work environments. Responsibilities Mentor and coach field personnel on Conduct of Operations and Conduct of Work principles. Observe work activities and provide feedback to improve work execution and operational discipline. Build trusted working relationships with field workforce personnel to enhance performance and safety culture. Support evaluations, assessments, audits, and causal analysis activities. Document observations, findings, recommendations, and assessment results. Review and evaluate work control products, work packages, procedures, and field work activities. Promote compliance with approved procedures, work controls, and safety requirements. Provide oversight and mentoring in high-risk work environments, including radiological and nuclear facility operations. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to field execution and operational performance. Communicate effectively with management, supervisors, and craft personnel regarding conduct of operations expectations and best practices. Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and directly related experience will be considered. Qualifications Minimum eight (8) years of experience in maintenance, operations, radiological control, work control, or related nuclear facility operations. Experience mentoring, coaching, training, or leading personnel in a field environment. Experience documenting audits, assessments, causal analyses, critiques, or similar evaluations. Experience working in or overseeing work control processes, procedure development, procedure reviews, and field work execution activities. Experience supporting DOE facilities, commercial nuclear facilities, naval nuclear programs, or other highly regulated industrial operations. Experience working in or providing oversight of high-risk work environments, including Hazard Category 2 and 3 nuclear facilities, High Radiation Areas, High Contamination Areas, and Airborne Radioactivity Areas. Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading teams, supervising personnel, or serving in formal mentoring roles. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and prioritize multiple activities simultaneously. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required site access, training, medical qualifications, and surveillance program requirements, which may include Respirator Qualification, Radiological Worker II, HAZWOPER, Heat Stress, Noise Monitoring, and Beryllium Program participation. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of eight (8) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two (2) years of relevant experience may be substituted for one (1) year of education. Preferred Qualifications Ten (10) or more years of directly related experience in nuclear operations, maintenance, radiological control, or work planning organizations. Previous experience serving in a formal Conduct of Operations, Conduct of Work, Readiness, Operations Improvement, or mentoring leadership role. Previous DOE site experience at Hanford, Savannah River Site, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Idaho National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Y-12, Pantex, Nevada National Security Sites, or similar facilities. Experience supporting Conduct of Operations improvement initiatives, operational assessments, readiness reviews, or performance improvement programs. Military nuclear operations, maintenance, radiological control, or leadership experience. Prior supervisory, management, or leadership experience in a regulated environment. Experience serving as a lead mentor, team lead, manager, or senior advisor responsible for mentoring other personnel.
