Our latest product, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lotus</span>, enables at-home administration of low-risk anti-cancer drugs.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We're looking for a Financial Accountant to become a key member of our finance function. In this role, you will support the financial operations of a fast-growing medical device company, helping to ensure robust financial reporting, compliance, and controls as we scale our product portfolio and international presence.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working at Luminate Medical</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is a key hire at a rapidly growing company. You will have the opportunity to shape the development of high-impact patient-facing products and gain first-hand insights into a start-up's growth. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We offer a highly competitive salary comparable with multinational medical device companies (available on application) and a flexible benefits package including health insurance and pension.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We believe in quality of life in our product and for our people, offering flexible working hours and a generous vacation policy. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Will Do</span></p>\n<p><em>Financial Reporting &amp; Month-End Close</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple entities, including variance analysis and commentary.</li>\n<li>Support the month-end close process: journals, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency revaluations.</li>\n<li>Maintain the general ledger, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and assist with FX translation and intercompany eliminations for group reporting.</li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and FRS 102.</li>\n<li>Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate depreciation across all entities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><em>Planning, Reporting &amp; Budget Monitoring</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with the annual budgeting process and contribute to regular forecasting cycles.</li>\n<li>Prepare and distribute monthly spend-to-budget reports for each business function, highlighting variances and flagging areas of concern.</li>\n<li>Work with department leads to ensure monthly expenditure is accurately coded and reflected against the correct budget lines.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><em>Compliance, Tax &amp; Grant Claims</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal controls across all group entities.</li>\n<li>Prepare grant claims, ensuring expenditure is accurately captured and reported in line with agreements.</li>\n<li>Support the preparation of the annual R&amp;D tax credit claim, working closely with R&amp;D teams to collate and document qualifying activities and costs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><em>Audit Support</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with year-end audit preparation, including preparing audit schedules and acting as a day-to-day point of contact for external auditors.</li>\n<li>Support the documentation and maintenance of internal controls and accounting policies as the business scales.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><em>General</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the CFO with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as the business grows.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Personal Attributes – The Ideal Candidate Is:</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creative: A creative problem solver who is enthusiastic about new ideas. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Open: A proactive team player who seeks to help develop your teammates.
